One of Italy's most famous exports, this current type of pasta cut was invented in the 1300's in Naples.  However sheets of dough were used in baking for up to a thousand years prior.  DiMartino uses only 100% durum wheat extruded through traditional bronze dyes to create these wide, flat sheets of dry pasta. Since the early 1800s the di Martino family has been making pasta for Italian Americans all over the world.
